A la Mort Subite

A la Mort Subite may be quite an unconventional name for a beer cafe, but it is one of the most well-known cafes in Brussels, which serves classic Belgian beers like kriek, gueuze and lambic. The bar is managed by the Vossen family, and the beer served here is from the Mort Subite brewery. The name comes from the dice game played by the locals in the old times. Decorated in the 1920s style with wooden chairs, tables and interiors are done in Art Deco style, the cafe has been designated as a heritage site since 1998.
